Nominations Close Nominations close with the GRNSW at 12 noon Monday prior. Nominate with GRNSW by Fax: (02) 8580 5301or by Phone Nomination on 1300 664 565 between 8am and 9am Monday to Friday. You can also register Online to Nominate through the GRNSW website at www.thedogs.com.au. To receive your password go to this website. Once you are at the site click on NOMINATE ONLINE and follow the prompts.
Scratchings Scratchings are taken by the GRNSW. Call (02) 1300 797 538 from 8am to 10am daily.
Scratchings will close at 9.00am on the day of the meeting without exception
Trials

Trials at Maitland are conducted as follow:
Public trials

First two, four dog trials will be for Maidens and puppies. Proof of Maiden status must be produced (ie Registration Papers, or Naming Papers for Puppies).
Saturday morning public trials 7:30am (tickets on sale from 7am to 8am)
Thursday nights after the race meeting with tickets sold up until the start of the last race.

Friday mornings - 4 dog and solo trials from 7:30am to 8:30am. Tickets on sale from 7:30am to 8:30am
Arm Trials
Friday morning from 8:30am to 10:00am (bookings must be made by 5pm Thursday)

Monday morning from 10:00am (Bookings must be made by 1.30pm Friday prior)

Kennels There is a veterinary service available at all race meetings
The Kennels are air-conditioned throughout the block & the kennels are of the one-tier variety.
Kenneling Times Kennels open 90 minutes prior to the advertised starting time of race one and close 45 minutes prior to the advertised starting time of race one.
Swab Information If a winning or placed greyhound is swabbed by the stewards in charge of the race meeting, prizemoney will be withheld until written clearance is received from GRNSW.
Box Draw The box draw is conducted by the GRNSW following close of nominations.
Telads NSW GBOTA currently have a faxfields service available.

Betting Options Maitland currently have one Bookmaker who operates on local events. A tote service is available on the greyhound meeting and the away gallop meetings.

Bookmaker Betting Rules Any bookmaker offering odds against a greyhound shall be compelled to lay such odds if demanded by the taker, but so that the bookmaker shall not be compelled to lose more than $500 on any one wager.

Catering Maitland GBOTA has catering facilities and a fully licensed bar available to all patrons.
General Information There are camping facilities for travelling trainers, but there are no kennels available for the greyhounds. Full TAB Service Totalisator operates with SKY CHANNEL coverage at these meetings. There are also video replays of all races, which are available to owners and trainers. Open to all maiden greyhounds $7,000 to the winner.

How To Get to the Track FROM CENTRAL COAST/ SYDNEY
Continue to the end of F3 Freeway. At the end of the freeway continue straight ahead at the roundabout on the Brisbane via New England Highway route. Turn left at T – Intersection (Beresfield Spare Parts on the right). Follow New England Highway through East Maitland. Turn left at ANZAC St (Caravan Park on the corner), then follow perimeter of Showground to the Evans Street entrance.

FROM NORTH COAST
After crossing Hunter River at Hexham, turn right on New England Highway and follow through East Maitland. Turn left at ANZAC St. (Caravan Park on the corner), then follow perimeter of Showground to the Evans Street entrance.

FROM TAMWORTH/ MUSWELLBROOK
Follow New England Highway through Rutherford. At Maitland Railway Station roundabout take Newcastle Exit along Les Darcy Drive. Railway line is on the left. Take the second turn to the right into ANZAC St (Caravan Park on the corner), then follow the perimeter of Showground to the Evans Steer entrance.
